I absolutely love this idea!

Over a year ago Val started “Hugs from Hershey” where in celebration of her 50th birthday she decided to send a “thank you” every week to 52 individuals who have touched her life in a positive way.

We pass them every day on the way to school.  They stand outside in heavy rain and on cold snowy days to help kids safely cross the street.

I love this video showing how one community decided to thank their crossing guard for his many years of service.
